My son and I have been building a large shelter./log cabin . I started by hand cutting everything thing then told him I had to use the chain saw hehe . I used trees that were growing close together to hold the structure in place and tied a few pieces with cordage. We cheated and use old rusty tin for the roof. It’s an awesome camping place for us . We braved a 38 degree night so far and have cooked a few chili dogs over the fire ect when it snowed the other day. We are going to do a big A-Frame next in same area with all natural materials and going to chink it with leaves to hopefully be waterproof

Makes me wanna go camping again! (exept for 38 degree-nighttime.....but think sleeping-bag technology prob’ly lil’ more advanced now!). See you eating Ramen noodles (thank goodness for them!); I used to bring dried beans, and soak in water and spices all day before cooking for dinner. Couldn’t help the mama-in-me, and turned Little Big Man rightside up:

Funny you should mention that,,,I couldn’t find any bottles (gonna try bottle knapping ) so I bought 24 heavy beer bottles...went to the park today...I’ve got 3bottoms left,..Lol. but I’m excited cuzz I’ve learned so much and next time out probably complete one,......need more bottles, Hollidays cummin, lotsa bottles,..I never woulda thought at this stage in life I’d be excited about something new, sorry, got a little long winded.
