Well it’s backyard free loaders . This Hawk is actually
working for his meal . If you look to the left of him, I hope the blue Jay escapes . Not many do from him . I have caught him at the creek with fish , deer feeders eating
    the doves .
My parrots in my yard in Hawaii got capture I think .
I don’t see them at my feeder . There were a family of 5 I had posted .

We had two skunks and a young opossum visit last night. I enjoy watching them all. My backyard in my urban neighborhood is fenced but there is a small area where the little critters can get in but to small for dogs. The way I have the backyard set up makes a safe haven I guess.

ID:	648228 We were sitting out last night test driving a new pair of ultra wide angle binos and had the usual suspects show up. Three skunks, raccoon and an opossum. The coon and opossum were camera shy but the skunks like to strut.

Beautiful coneflowers! My favorite plant. And bees love them.

Skunked again!!! At least it wasn’t one that would ruin an artifact hunting trip.

ID:	664564 Had some visitors during a period of heavy snow here. Took a pic of our local juvenile Cooper’s Hawk being watched by a guard squirrel. Also took a snap of a friendly chickadee.

Good day, Uncle T. This has been and still is a super thread. I have not contributed some of the photos I've taken at my home and at an RV park lot that I own a couple of miles away where I keep my little fishing boat, all my fishing stuff and until Hurricane Sally visited us a couple of years ago, a travel trailer. It is a large lot where I have a little house on the place and a tool shed. Is that a gray squirrel with a golden tail? One visited my park lot and I saw it frequently this past summer for a few weeks then it disappeared. I have several pics of it I took with my phone camera. I have seen thousands of gray squirrels in my life but I never saw one with a golden tail. My lot backs up to a wetland area that borders the creek and is approximately 50 to 100 yards wide where no development is allowed. The creek is a tidewater creek that is a tributary to Wolf Bay which is a major bay connected to Perdido Bay that forms the border between Alabama and Florida. We have quite a few deer in the area plus an occasional coyote plus racoons, opossums, and armadillos that are the scourge of my backyard area. We also have both at my house and at my park lot three species of lizards with green anoles being the most common. The coolest photo I ever took was one of a green anole that was licking the condensation moisture from a rum and coke that I had set on a little table on the front porch of my Park den house. I posted a thread with the photo a few years ago. Yes, you started a great thread.

Thanks SJ! Post up some of those pics. I know folks would love to see them. That squirrel with the white tail was a young fox squirrel. Over the years here we have had squirrels either with a white tail or nearly all white but not albino. Some kind of genetic thing I’m guessing because as they get older the white usually goes away. Sounds like you have a good area for spotting the critters.

That squirrel with the hawk is a plain ole fat fox squirrel. I have had ones with white tails in the past though

We don't have fox squirrels in the area of the Gulf Coast where now I live. Maybe, when I have time I'll go through my photos and see which ones may fit in with this thread.

It’s been so dry here that a lot of critters are stopping by my low birdbaths.

ID:	697348 This little guy landed on me. Good to see. I have a flower garden for pollinators but the last couple of years have not been good for the insects.

Hi all. This guy has been stopping by for snacks. He has a certain call to let me know he’s waiting out by my deck. Usually I grab a cracker or two. He sometimes hides one under a nearby plant and takes the other to the birdbath to soak a bit. One day I gave him a piece of crust from my pizza. It was the first time he took something from my hand.

Cool friend! They are very intelligent birds. Pretty soon, you'll have him doing tricks. 😁

Incredible! Birds do not lend their trust lightly. Those are very special moments few will ever experience.
