  • Staining today

Finally a really nice day outside actually the whole week. I stained my deck last year brown after all the rain and sun it turned a olive green. So I decided to go with red this time I hope it doesn’t turn pink next year. Did this today instead of point hunting. Got 90% of it completed Click image for larger version

Ha...good job...a pink deck would definitely be something. ... Probably acid rain turned it olive green..?

The afternoon sun hits it. I liked the color but I was afraid it wasn’t protecting it

Idk about the other paint I bought it at a discount store it wasn’t a bad color but wasn’t the brown they said. I still need to do another coat on the deck in red maybe my next day off I can finish it

The red is a Georgia favorite due to the red clay

Well, you can't be chasing Comanche all the time. You've got to take care of the fort.

We have a insect called a wood bee that will eat any wood unprotected so you have to stain or paint it. They actually will drill into trees and kill them

Doing a 2nd coat in the morning then should be good for hopefully 3-5 years cause this one said 15 year protection wish they actually lasted as long as they claim

As it soaks into the wood I’m liking the color even more. No 2nd coat today heavy dew last night or some rain but it’s to wet Click image for larger version
