ID:	665622 tried to do a harvest on a hive today, But was only able to to get a few frames out of it. The girls were not in a good mood. I took many fits thru my suit and a few got inside so a few hits to the head also. But thats the life of a beekeeper

Looks tasty Hillbilly. I recently pruned dead wood out of an oak that had a bee hive inside it. I was a little concerned that they would attack me, but I survived.

No, cutting a hole in the trunk to extract the honey would damage the tree.
