    :huh: I was looking around and found this and captured it. Is this a black widdow. It was on the house. :dunno: Kinda of freaked the ole lady out :laugh:

    does it also have red spots on its back?

      All of the Black Widows I've seen have 8 legs instead of 5-1/2 legs.  Maybe that is why it is a widow.  Looks like a Black Widow that has had a bad day to me.

          Yes, it's a female Southern black widow (Latrodectus mactans).
          They get quite a lot bigger than that.

          I keep six honest serving-men (they taught me all I knew); Their names are What and Why and When and How and Where and Who.

            that looks like a really big brown recluse spider
            i have heard their bites are very very painful
            but i think a bite from that one would about cut you in two

                I would say it's a black widow but not sure. I am sure if I saw it, it would be a dead widow!
