Well I only had one so I don't have to try and decide. It's a slate blade/knife my first.

Well I picked a cold day to jump into the creek but it felt good walking down the creek. I wasn't really finding anything except quartz debitage. I always save my favorite section for last cause I usually find something there. I saw what looked like a soapstone bowl or plate started to reach for it and it moved. Glad I didn't

Looking carefully - this appears to be a Petosky Stone. I have never seen one used as an artefact. Double nice!

I guess I can enter "Shamu".
Found this yesterday. Big reduction flake that appears to have been worked into a nice lance/flake knife. I love the "killer whale" two tone look. It's still so sharp I was afraid to put it in my pocket. Pictured getting home to find no artifact and a hole in my pants. Click image for larger version

Surface knows what's up! The water was only an inch or two deep! Saw it clearly from six paces away!

Here is a green incised stone (Anasazi talisman?) that I found in Crane County, TX
Searched some different sand hills today and found 4 more NA campsites with burned rocks, flakes, and some goodies. Not sure what the reddish heartbreaker is since the base is broken off. ☚ī¸ I believe the triangular point is either Matamoros or a small Tortugas. I’m thinking the white one is a knife. And finally, the

Not sure the material. Mattern says it looks like steatite (soapstone), or possibly slate. It's not from my area that's for sure.
