Oh no Ron ... sorry to hear. My brother warned me about about them but I have been lucky so far. I’m not a very religious person but I have some good connections up there and I will put in a good word for you. Hope you feel better soon. Kaz

Thanks to all. The red rash starts in the center of my chest, travels left under my arm and across my back to the middle of the back. The rash is in the early stages and progressing fast. I am experiencing pains deep in my body. Cool showers help. Grrrrr! I will try to stay positive and reach deep for my sense of humor.

I remember my dad only going to the Dr twice in my life and he passed in his eighties. One of those trips was for shingles so I know they must be horrible. Saying a big prayer for you! Hang in there!

Valacyclovir will quickly arrest the rash. That's half the battle. That stuff is serious, please ask about that med.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Ron! I finally went for the new shingles vaccine, two shots, a month apart, 90+% effective, in late 2021. Always meant to, and finally did when a friend developed shingles and suffered mightily.
