I think there were waves of different people over the years, some were Clovis and some were other. Man has been here a long time and even moving a little each year over 15,000 years gets you to almost eveywhere.

i believe there were several major cultures thought time here in the states. from the clovis people to the fort ancient people. now were these people related , possibly , but i doubt it. when a multi component site is found ,really the only thing it tells me more then one favored that spot. i would say only the very early ones crossed the straits when it was frozen over. just my thinking. jim

Posted this article in archaeology section as well, where I called them pre-Clovis. But as this article emphasises, they can only be called as old as Clovis up to this point....
