    I mean why aren't they strait/ Seems useless for their size :dunno:

    Kind of like how we carry pocket knives.  I'm sure the Indians needed a sharp small edge from time to time too...doubt they had pockets though

      Usually that form or an assymetric shape indicates knife use. That piece seems to be reduced by damage though, imho.

        ya,probably cause it was resharpened at some point in the past,nice find though!

          A great many of the projectile points/knives that are found on the ground today are not the way the artifact originally looked when it was newly made.  Some may even be classified as different types than the original.  The one you have looks Early Archaic, a time when points were often resharpened down to nubbins before being discarded as no longer useful.  This was usually done in areas where lithic raw materials were small in size or good quality ones were hard to find. :cheer:
