    231429069099 ebay item number. I tried evry way I know but it wouldn't let me link it. Anyhow there is the item number.

    Pete, I looked at that. As much as it does look like it's inscribed, I think it's all natural. It looks like a heavily striated chunk of chert/flint. The grooves are made from softer material eroding OFF the edges of the striated material, where the striations would be exposed on the surface.  Very unusual, but I think it's completely natural. We'll see what other think. Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS to a fellow Pennsylvanian artifact nut!!

          Wow that's close Im on Church ave. I hunted across the str from you .Behind you and at the The highschool before it was built with my grand father back in the 60.s He talked about a cave there at the Closters, He lived there when he was young.

            That's all very interesting. I did hear from some older folks that where the development is right below was farmed many moons ago, and people found artifacts right there along the creek. Maybe after the holidays and the weather permits, we can meet over at the Cloister and look for that cave. I can tell from the rock outcrops there could easily be a rock shelter somewhere large enough to be used. I know people have metal detected behind the Eicher Museum and found 17th century Indian trade items. We will have to get together and go on a field trip.
