  • Opinions Welcomed

    Collectors,
I welcome your opinions on this ebay axe. Does anything about it look alerting or off?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Barry
For some reason, the hyper link is not adding to my note. This is the item description in ebay: RARE Authentic 3/4 Slant Groove Axe Hard Stone Quartz Artifact Williams Co. Ohio:

that is interesting I just tried to lload it using the advanced tools and the site automatically deleted it. LOL
Anyway I looked at it on ebay.  I would not buy that thing. There appears to be wheel marks in the groove and on the face of the ax. That was just the first picture I looked at. I did not bother to look further.  Just my opinion I would not buy it.

I went back and looked at the third picture grinding wheel marks are easy to see in that picture.

I coudn't make the link work either... and I tried a number of ways. Here's a few pictures from the listing. As Hoss says, the grinding wheel marks are a real red flag.

OH BOY! As soon as I see the words " Ebay " I get upset! I've been watching a few listings, two more handmade Dilkes special bannerstones sold. Almost $500 apiece!
