  • It fits in the hand

    Now most will tell you of the seasoned hunters and when looking at artifacts if you say it fits the hand perfectly it is not an artifact. I agree with that statement. Very few were used that way and the premise to base it as an artifact usually is misguided. So with that said here is one that is one of the few.
    I would show the other side but my file is corrupt.

              Ergonomics vs expediency. If you have the time why not knock off a ridge here a flake there for a more comfortable fit? Would be interesting to see how and what for many of the tools we find were used. Held only in the hand? Hafted? Wrapped in hide?
