  • Copena?

    I read it could be a round based copena but not sure. I've not really heard of any being found around my area and I'm not sure on the material either any help would be appreciated.

          Looks like a Copena to me. I'd like to see the point in natural light because it would make the material easier to i.d, I'm thinking Hornstone or Ft Payne chert.

              Copena looks right to me, too. Except I go farther and would call it a Copena triangular as opposed to the "classic" Copena. It is larger than most but a Copena nevertheless.

                      The additional photos helped thanks, I'm thinking this Copena is made from Boyles chert. This is a pretty common lithic for central Kentucky, and one of my favorites. Really cool find!
