  • ID help on nice Illinois point

East central illinois field find from the weekend. I have not found many points in this field, But it gave up a good one. Just wanted some help on id. Maccorkle or jakie are found around here but I'm not sold on either. Any input is greatly appreciated.

You'll have to try again on the photos they aren't showing up.

I'm not exactly sure how to remedy that. I know it occasionally happens to others. Are you using the clipboard icon?

After checking maybe not Hemphill... Lol

Yeah I was just looking at Hemphill too. The deep concave base is making it difficult.

Ray hasn't been around for awhile now. I'm sure a few others will have a good suggestion.

my first impression was hardaway related,, seems definitely early archaic

Could be a Graham Cave that has gone through a lot of resharpenings. More likely might be a Stillwell.

Looks like a sweet MacCorkle to me! I love the little twist is has from resharpening.
