  • Triangle mystery

I've been helping a friend ID items she inherited from her Grandpa, provenance unknown, likely Iowa/Missouri. Need help on this triangle. Bottom is 1 1/8 inch, and sides 1 3/8 inch. This may be modern. Thank you.

Looks modern, going by the pictures I don't see any aging of material and the discoloration of the edgework especially in picture #3.

Here are 3 photos of her collection. With help from the forum we have the two knives taken care of. The photo with the "bird effigy" includes others that are modern IMO. Last photo are as yet not identified. I'm learning a lot trying to ID these. She was hoping the bird was authentic, but I don't think so based on old posts.

Tainted collection. Winnow and ballpeen to get it right again.

Thank you all for your insight. All of my artifacts are found within 300 yards of my house, so authenticity wasn't an issue. But her collection was just "off", so I really appreciate your help. I'm going to put her real artifacts in a display case for a gift. For the rest, a ballpeen is good, but I was thinking sledge. Reminds me of a Johnny Cash prison song. Breaking big rocks into little rocks. Folsom ( no pun intended) Prison Blues. Take care, and thanks again.
