    I’ve posted this before but never got any ideas on what it could be . This was found in ward county , tx only complete piece of yellow jasper I’ve found , plenty of small chips but nothing this big .

    Very nice petrified wood blade. Looks pretty thick part of the base looks missing as well. I think it would be difficult to nail down a type. It sure is pretty lithic material.

      Nice California Jasper! Because Jasper is so difficult to Knapp, I'd either call it a knife or a Hell Gap.

        Is it biface ? If so most probably a bone marrow scraper .

              Beautiful crazy material, nothing like that in Ohio. Either a large heavily sharpened blade or a heavy spear point in my opinion.
