    This appears to be repurposed, but I'm not sure.
    it's definitely knapped but about 2/3 up it is ground.
    they got a beautiful shape on it. I think it may be heat treated also. Is this at all common ? Has anyone else found similar ones ?

    Looks like someone took a grinder to it...Iโ€™ve never found an ancient one with that much difference in patina......Ancient resharpening should show a sharper ridge and valley situation , not a rounded one...IMO.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

      This was in a purchase lot..I wonder if someone took the dremel to a heart breaker ..lol
      It's not smooth, alot of odd facets..but ground

    I think Hal nailed it. I looked like a piece of pyrite at first to me, but now I see the facets from a modern tool.
    Hong Kong, but from Indiana/Florida
