My neighbor recently found this point and asked if I could get some opinions on its typology. It is finely serrated. There is basal thinning present on both sides and it is lightly ground. Any thoughts on what type it might be? Thanks for looking.

Apparently, quartz was the overwhelming lithic of choice for Snappit points. So, it’s unusual to see a candidate that is not quartz. Looks like a Snappit, though. Base should be ground. My first thought had been a resharpened New England-style Hardaway-Dalton. It’s a beauty by any name, though, I love the lithic itself.Rhode Island
