I read somewhere on one of the forums about applying Mop and Glo wax on points to bring out the color. Is this a common practice and should I do it? Opinions Please!

Back in the day people put shellac on points. I never liked the practice myself. In my opinion they should be displayed as found . I guess it's a matter of preference.TN formerly CT Visit our store http://stores.arrowheads.com/store.p...m-Trading-Post

Mineral oil will work like olive oil. Dr Shellman wrote a post about it a while back.TN formerly CT Visit our store http://stores.arrowheads.com/store.p...m-Trading-Post

Here is a post from Antmike https://forums.arrowheads.com/forum/...l-oil-pictures
The mineral oil makes the patina transparent. It does not last long maybe a few months. It does not work on all lithics either but in ANtmikes case his Georgia finds shined right on through.Last edited by Hoss; 10-01-2023, 09:23 AM.TN formerly CT Visit our store http://stores.arrowheads.com/store.p...m-Trading-Post
