      Not sure of type but that style of knapping is called unifacial or uniface. It's common on lots of points, blades, scrapers, etcetera. When an artifact is worked on both sides, it's called bifacial or biface. Hope this helps.

        I call em flatbacks.  My theory is it's a worked flake that didn't have enough material left to work the other side.  Just an opinion, and congrats.
