    found in and around the kermit sand hills in west tx. desert southwest.
    what is it made of and what is it?

    I'm not from anywhere near that area but Kinney blade is a possibility.... I think.
    There are some from Tx here and they would know better that I.

      That is a beautiful Knife is it thin? Wow Sure is nice. I don't know on the type or the flint maybe it is Edwards Plateau Chert. Hopefully Jessey or oneof our other South Central collector friend will see this and fill us in on the type!

                Archaic Knife could be Castroville or Friday. I have a Friday for sale in the stores.  There are several big blade knives from the archaic period in Texas that it could be. Might just be safer to call it an Archaic Knife. Looks to have a little bevel to it.
