I've found some baculites with very fragile nacre. Can someone recommend a sealant that will not reduce the pearlized sheen on the baculites? I've tried an elmers glue and water mix but it takes away the pretty colors. Thanks for any help!

I use super glue. Sometimes, if the shell has turned to powder, there is no solution, but if it's actually nacre, superglue will seal it and keep the shine intact. You can get it in bulk here. http://www.parsonadhesives.com/parfi...-adhesives.htm

I would highly recommend using what has become known as "Gomer's Solution", a mix of Duco cement and acetone. It will penetrate and hold together your fossil. Here's a couple of threads on this:
