I found this yesterday while walking a bean field. It had a fossilized look to it but I have no idea what it is or if its even a fossil for that matter. Its about the size of a baseball. I know of a young fella that has a huge interest in that kinda thing so if it is a fossil of some type its going to him if not hello birdbath/landscape...lol...thanks in advance.

From the first photo, I thought it looked like the beat up remains of a fossil colonial rugose coral, but the depressions don't look distributed quite right....
