  • Just wondering what kind

    Just wondering what kind of fossil these might be....The one I can see the "fossil look" on the end not sure about the other.


      This one I found a few days ago thought I would put it on here too.

    It looks like horn coral to me, i find those up here too.
    Lots of brain coral around here also.

        Yes, the first two are horn coral for sure. That last one may also be, but the encrustation and weathering has obscured most of the helpful identification features.

          It sure did in the Silurian and Devonian periods roughly 350-450 million years ago when what is now Kentucky was beneath a warm shallow sea. Them's fossil corals from that period.
