Fossils galore

It's been quite a while since I have found this many ammonites in one stream bed.
Usually I take a collecting bag and don't use it. Find one maybe two and just put them in my pocket.
Well I did not take a bag and I filled my pockets, got lots of big pockets, fortunately.
Found so many I had to carry some in my arms.
I usually pick up golf balls too. Not this time no room in my pockets.
These are all a species called calycoceras.
Didn't find even one chip of flint.
I looked but didn't find.
Maybe next time.

These are from a creek that at one time yielded thousands of them but erosion improvements and flood control efforts has limited the washing of these to a point of maybe once a year go there and find a few.
Most of these were in deeper water and had algae growing on them.
Managed a few real nice ones. But just a few.
Most are hand outs or buy one get one free type of specimens.
Thanks for the replies guys it was nice to get out and walk in the water, high at the time was 82 degrees.
