We normally think about bifacial work here, and occasionally uniface, but how many sides can arrowhead have?
Left to right-
0, 1, 2, 3, 4
So 0 sides is basically just a flake that was hafted. 1 sides is pretty easy to understand, a point flaked on 1 side. Bifacial is most of what we see.
And then it gets a little strange. In Costa Rica and Panama native groups made three sided points. They are almost spike like, but are knapped on all sides.
4 sides is something that I have only seen from Central Asia, Mongolia and Northern China. They made a normal bifacial triangle and then burinated. Some modern broadheads are similar.
Just something different on a rainy day.
