  • Gem Grade Flint Ridge Cores and Bladelets

Thought I'd share some Hopewell cores and bladelets from my Ohio collection. These are from various Hopewell sites around Ohio.

Some pretty flintridge! Finding a core is as cool as a point. Mark.

Ryan, those are legendary. Did you clean them up??? and what did you use?? sometimes that color is natural on the high grade veins but I was just wondering if you did anything special to bring out the luster.

Hey Bill, I didn't clean them up with anything except maybe some natural hand oils from excessive fondling. Those Hopewell guys were known to have quarried some of the finest grade material off the ridge. Some of these gem grades are close to 100% pure flint.
