Here's a small scraper found in Mass. I've never seen this type of stone before in my area. Any ideas? I showed it to an old timer years ago and he thought it might be a gun flint from France. I never bought into that explanation, but it is an odd stone for this part of NE.
I break open chert pebbles in NJ and occasionally they are white. Maybe MASS has some similar material being just a little up the coast. Then again, it does have that gun flint shape.
