  • Lanceolate blade

Found this yesterday. Base is ground 1/3 the way up the point and on base. Point measures just a tad over 3 in. Heavy creek stain patina. Thing is Lanceolate points are hard to type in my area so I'm torn. any suggestions? Found in SW Missouri.

      Nice looking point.

Considering the base and basal edges are ground, it may be a Packard.

Sedalia bases occasionally were thinned bifacially, but the hafts almost never were ground. (M. J. O’Brien, W. R. Wood, 1998)
