Points on a light box. I invested in an old X-ray light box thinking it would backlight my more translucent pieces. Not disappointed but doesn’t illuminate the same as holding a point up to the sun or a strong light source etc. Good for showing the silhouettes though. Stockton’s here found by my grandpa, dad and me over a 52 year period. Nor Cal. Click image for larger version

Thx Tom, a few of them were reworked I’m pretty sure. The broken one, center eight o’clock with the huge serrations would’ve been a beast.

I like the fish shaped ones. Especially outside edge at 3 o'clock. Tubby and serrated is v. cool.

Wow, seems like that would be in the realm of a definitive collection for that type? Same for your Brazos points below?

ID:	574615 A mix of rattlesnake and stockton’s and a few that blur the lines between the two. This was an ‘all bout the barbs’ group I did a few days ago, having fun with the light box. Nor Cal.

Lower left might be a Contra Costa ? and a couple more in that group .

South Fork, I see what you mean with the notches resembling contra’s but I’m including that one and three others in the group that have that exaggerated downward pointing lower notch as Stockton Corner Notch’s. The one larger one missing the base and a lot of the tip, and the one at the bottom at about 5 o’clock each have additional serrations whereas the one you’re mentioning and the one in the inner circle at about 3 o’clock have only the one notch per side- which is an older Stockton type the way I understand it, also rarer per the anything I’ve read(thanks Tom) and my experience.

Tom, the ones that aren’t the corner notch stockton’s I mentioned to South but have deeper serrations definitely could be viewed as transitional from the Stockton’s to the more recent Rattlesnake cluster or even put them in the Stockton cluster. Maybe they stayed with the serrations as they went to the newer shape for a period of time or decided to add them every now and then. The thing is that there’s overlap in the time periods so my take is the two were likely being produced together for probably several centuries.

Neat to see them in all their stages of life.
Brazos is Texas, right? Mad artifacts in Texas but your stuff is exceptional. The Perdiz frame is crazy.
