Interesting pipe

Picked up an interesting little pipe, Comes from Tennessee, josh and Tom Davis COA with it probably one of my favorites I've gotten lately.

It looks like a late Mississippian disk pipe without the disk. (And turned sideways.) Yours likely never had a disk, but it bet it's similar in age.

They usually have a wedge/canoe shaped body, a larger hole on the stem, and engraving like that.

the quality of craftsmanship of native Americans continue to amaze me , how did they do that is a constant reminder to me just how little we know about our ancestors, it's in the DNA , skill though is something handed down, practiced to perfection and lost to the ages , thanks for showing
