  • Summer Coon Red Jasper

    About 4 million years ago the Summer Coon valcano was active about 6 miles west of my house. It formed this distinctive red jasper and was used by the NA for many purposes.
    This core shows some use probably as a pecking stone and has a beautiful color. I use bees wax to bring out its luster.

        So this where you been ——- 6 miles from your house, playing with beautiful red rocks!

        Summer Coon, huh….. and I thot point-types had unusual names!
