  • Dunn Point

The Dunn point is a point not often seen. It was described in the CENTRAL STATES ARCHEOLOGICAL JOURNAL , Volume 57, July 2010, number 3. I think it has been in another journal that was earlier than this one but could not find it. Click image for larger version

In life there are losers and finders. Which one are you?

My readings on or about the Dunn have basically dubbed them “Barbed Garys”. My best one ive found that id type a Dunn was in 2021 and i broke one of the barbs bringing it inside. Broke my heart. The other one that i typed a Dunn was found this year by a friend on a trip i took him on with me where i found the other a year earlier. The one in the illustration by Willjo has a much longer blade so im guessing these two have seen some resharpening. Both are beautiful specimens of Dunns in my opinion, yet im not always correct with typology. Would you guys type these as Dunns as i have? Both are SW AR finds.
