Field walking

Got permission to walk a plowed field. Its a few hundred yards from the lake, But does have a few large sinks or dead springs. Have walked it several times finding only a few small chert flakes. Went today after the heavy rain yesterday. Found 1 flake then a few steps and I see a tip sticking out. Boom, Pinellas and first for the new year.

Yeah, those are hard to spot.
I can remember walking corn fields down there on my hands and knees looking for those little ones.
