This is not about pottery but is related to the Sunset Point complex...pic.1 is a piece of red ochre, it’s not found this far South....Pic. 2 is of a notched quahog shell from a Sarasota site, we recovered about twenty of these in a poor state of preservation, none were saved, pic.3 is one suggested use...Pic. 4-5 were found together, the pendant is translucent branch coral with slight rubbing on edges and has a small hole at the top... 6 is a a flaked chert piece, it’s fractured as if from in a fire but is not blackened,the hole is a leached out ...Pic7 are very used hammer stones, found together...Pic.8 are Megalodon teeth found together, the one on the left is modified with two notches, they were killed, these are old breaks, the left one has been glued....These are all the non pottery artifacts that were recovered..

Very cool, love the point in picture #5; also love the shark teeth. I used to go to Venice Beach and look for them. I never went out far. I only found small ones. I met a guy out there and he said he goes out 100 yards, and sifts though the dirt. He showed me alot of good sized teeth and bone.🐜 🎤 SW Georgia
