  • Weeden Island pottery no.9.

    Pic. 1 shows a W.I. Punctuated rim....and smoothing on the second piece done with either fingers, a pottery stone, or, who knows what...Pic.2-3 shows such a stone..a Pic. 4 is a bird motif with triangles connected by a line.

      The only quartz stuff at this village were artifacts, including a ton of pottery,

      I actually have thoughts that it might’ve been used for hides, or whatever, either way it has a shine on it in certain areas.it seems a tad to big for pottery, I wish I knew more about working hides, but I think scrapers were used on those..if I had to give it a name....it’s a tool. p.s.i went out on a limb on this one, but that’s what I do a lot of the time.lol.
