  • Pottery piece w/ a finger hold

    Found a few pieces of pottery saturday along with a splintered piece of bone...my mind wants to believe the bone piece may have been used by na at one time...maybe not.......anyway....the coolest thing i want to share is this piece of pottery with a portion of a finger hold on it....pretty cool....thanks for looking Click image for larger version

      It looks like a slip , ( interior and exterior finer clay ) was applied.... I was going to ask,, that’s a neat Orange color clay, do you know the source?

    Hey Benji if I remember correctly the red pottery is from the Mississippian period. Nice big piece
