I wanted to give JJ a big shout out and thank you for the pottery he sent to me. I also believe we should all send him our Christmas gifts to be wrapped because these pieces were perfectly wrapped and I enjoyed unwrapping each piece, lol. It's always interesting to see what others find. Pottery eludes me so I'm especially thankful for his generosity and thoughtfulness. If I ever w ere to find pottery, I don't believe it would be this nice. Thanks, JJ!

Those all came from Lubbock Co. The trash pit I’ve been looking.

LinnyMan, unless you been looking in your city/county dump, your “trash pit” may be classier than it sounds (at least to us!). According to Wikipedia, “A midden (also kitchen midden or shell heap) is an old dump for domestic waste which may consist of animal bone, human excrement, botanical material, mollusc shells, sherds, lithics (especially debitage), and other artifacts and ecofacts associated with past human occupation.“
I always thot a midden was just for shells, and associated cast-offs, but apparently not. Just make sure any excrement you bring home is fossilized!Last edited by Cecilia; 07-23-2020, 06:14 PM.
