  • Petoskey stones.

    On vacation this Summer we hit the motherload on Petoskey stones! Been dinking a bit with them.

            Way cool Mark. Petoskey stones are a beautiful material, it has got to be fun creating pieces from it.
            Has the cottage industry taken off yet? If not, I'd like to commision a piece!

                Sold $150 bucks worth so far.....Equals out to about $4  an hour labor but it is fun! I will send ya one.

                Thanks! But willing to pay! Heck if we all do might get you up to $4.25 an hour!
                Thinking about a smaller pendent type piece for the wife.

                          Pretty soft and easy to work ...I am new to this but tried working puddingstone and too hard for me. Fun to do but had to take a break because of two surgically repaired  hands!
