I have curated a meteorite collection since 1983, when I bought specimens representing the three main classes of meteorites from Robert Haag of Arizona, aka "the meteorite man". Robert was responsible for introducing more people to the hobby of meteorite collecting then anybody before him. The collecting community was relatively small in those days. Since the introduction of the Internet, interest in and the size of the collecting community has grown by leaps and bounds.
