        Original post was here:

This is a large piece of quartz found at the river. Also, I have added another rock specimen that I can't identify. Anybody know what it is? http://forums.arrowheads

It's very courteous of you to ask the question, but I would hope that none of us on the forum have a problem with any of our opinions or other information being used or quoted anywhwere else as long as information is not used in a selective manner that results in things being misrepresented. It's all in the public domain anyway.

Just wouldn't feel right taking somebody else's words without asking.  Members don't always know where the information came from when they happen to look at your photo albums.  Sure wouldn't want them to think I personally knew what I had.  Especially if the info was the courtesy of another member.
Thanks for finding the old post.  Description in the subject line is imperative in my case! I looked and looked for that rock in my threads!

Personally I think it is a very cool "specimen" period.

It is a "Rock" when it's on the ground.
It is a "Specimen" when picked up and taken home.
