River Fossil -- maybe a gorget?

This was found in a river in FL and I can't tell if the hole was man-made or eroded.  Can someone provide some insight on this piece?

I suspect this is a trace fossil. It's not regular enough to be a gorget, and does not appear to be drilled as a gorget would be. Perhaps it is part of an ancient seafloor.

  I agree. The other depressions are further evidence of a natural piece. Interesting stone and I would pick it up too.

Those holes are absolutely natural. Sorry, but I do not think it is a gorget.
