    IMHOP nope. They were much better artists but they may have picked it up and said, "Hey, this looks like an eagle head"..

      Hey RT...here is an example of an actual rock effigy...these people were extremely talented and had nothing else to do when the sun went down. They didn't have cable or internets...they just sat around and played with their rocks.
      (it's a human head)
      Wandering wherever I can, mostly in Eastern Arkansas, always looking down.

            The rocks you're posting are indeed natural, and not man made effigies. Here, from our information center, is a thread describing my avatar, just a small sandstone pebble worked by man in a very clever way, as well as showing the skill native artisans were capable of. And of course, although this is well executed for such a small stone, it pales in comparison to, for example, the awesome figurines crafted by Hopewell artisans, among many other native cultures throughout time.
