Found in Northern Kentucky on Private land. Stone painting of a Native American indian with his weapon in hand. Very strong detail. Any ideas how old this is?

Need better pictures. The red stain is probably just from iron content. It could have come from the ground it was min or from within the rock itself. Does the surface seem smoothed over? You know, I was thinking about being a “Newbie”, which I am, and I thought about you. I’m about 5 weeks older than you, so thought I’d share some of my vast experience as a member of this website. You should read “Helpful Glossary for Newbies” in the Off the Wall forum. It’s very funny, and will give you an idea how the Oldies think about us Newbies!
P.S. the “Teeth” in specimen #2, are probably minerals. All rocks have minerals (that’s how they get their color), and one form of the mineral calcite is called “Dog Tooth” .Last edited by Cecilia; 09-16-2019, 06:52 PM.Digging in GA, ‘bout a mile from the Savannah River
