Central NC Points This Week

Hello friends - had a beautiful weather day this past week so went out to check a spot I hadn't been to for a while. The water was low enough to expose a lot of gravel bar and beach, and I found several good points and more broken bits. Here is a photo of the best of the day. Haven't had time to type them all but think the one on the left might be a Palmer. Lots of miles on all of them. Input welcomed as always! Wake County, central NC.

Thanks GP! I think you might be right on the Rowan. I've only found a few quartz points and this one the only crystal.

I Hope to find a crystal point one day .I do have a crystal rock, but just a rock .Those are great finds!

Do you think the crystal point might be a Savannah River? I know here in Georgia they used quartz and mostly quartzite once in a while flint.

Hi SH - I think you might be right. The point has been resharpened on one side which makes it a little more difficult, but that's as good a guess as any!
