  • What was your best find of 2019?

Just curious what you best/favorite find was this year? I've only been on about 15 to 20 hunts with only a couple of whole points but starting to catch the fever. Have a couple of promising sites lined up for 2020 here in Central KY so here's hoping. My favorite so far is a 90% mcCorkle and a nice chopper type tool.

That is a beauty. The extra notch on the side is neat; I always wonder if maybe some nm's did something like that as a signature.

It could be a notch but I believe it’s a ding. It had been rolling around in a cotton field. True G 10 points are far and between, like the pet wood Washita in profile pic..

Tough year. bad drought with almost no rain at all so nothing washed out, not much time to hunt...and no luck. Found a few tools but no whole points. Just my third year looking but this year was way different the first two. Hoping my luck comes back in 2020.

I know how you feel. My biggest problem is places to look anymore. Don't fret, new windows will open!

Couldn't decide on favorite of the 2 so posted both. The dove was my last find of 19 so a good end.

This one definitely is my best find for 2019, started digging on our place this year and pulled this out next to the creek.

Digging is tough but well worth it, the wiggle pick is the best way to go. I surface hunted for years but digging for them is definitely bringing out quality artifacts hands down for good reason.
