  • March 1st finds

    Some Indiana finds from yesterday. Would like to here opinions on what materials these are. We find alot of teeth like that in one picture. If anyone knows what that those teeth are let me know. thanks

    Great day out, Congrats! Biggest point may be Harrodsburg Chert, just a guess looks pretty fossilly like Harrodsburg is..Tooth could be extinct horse or camel ?? Some of these guys on here are wizards at Fossil ID and will know.

      Yes I was thinking harrodsburg chert for two reddish, hornstone and carter cave chert for others.

    That is a great haul for one day. The broken larger blade looks like oblique parallel flaking. That would make it really old in my opinion. Very nice points.

    Never seen a camel tooth before . The horse teeth I’m familiar with don’t looke that that. I believe it’s a bison/buffalo tooth and resembles ones that I’ve found

        I agree with your assessment on the charts CG...What are your thoughts on the type of that killer point....Thebes, Stilwell , pine tree....I’m on the fence on that one...Sweet group of point for sure.....Congrats.

          Really great walk. Agree with Flint guy on that old flaking . Looks like a very promising area and that one whole point old and in great condition . Tooth idk but cool .
          i just find for toes that look like teeth .

            Creek, I’m still stuck on this point...Starting to eat at me...lol.....Check out this point called Plevna........Its some kind of St. Charles variant but I think it could be your point.....Cheers!
