I having a time remembering if I showed some of my stuff, I don’t remember doing this one...This is a deer antler handle, it was found in the Weeki Wachee River, Hernando co. Florida in 1969, it’s 4,1/2”long with a tapered 1,1/2” to 1/4”hole...This is not like the other handles, this one has an extremely large deep hole and I can’t imagine the type of tool that would be inserted, it seems like it would have to have a rounded base, maybe a non flint type?.

That's a good question Hal, maybe a raging Marion or Cypress Creek sword. That's a cool handle though and in excellent condition.🐜 🎤 SW Georgia

That is a cool piece...there are points and blades with rounded ends that would fit into a socket...maybe Ron Kelly can make one for an exampleSW Connecticut

Very plummetlike in some aspects..... end knob of antlers has a "boss" but that one looks like they made a groove/head on it. No idea what could have fit in that hole and thinking about the hafting.. truly odd piece unless it rings a bell in some collector's head cause they KNOW what it is LOLOL.Professor Shellman
