Love the barb serrations on this. It's been chopped (intentionally, imho).

This is similar to the one I found the other day (as is the little one above). It's got that special tip.

Not a saw blade. The barbs would break in a second. I believe that point is meant for murder.

I am on a campsite in this part of the vineyard. Artifacts more varied including grinding tools. I found a nice pestle close by. Other areas I think of as the workshops as they have heavier scatter (and obsidian pieces) but nothing else that represents camp life.

It's a good time of year. Weather is still moderate and the vineyards freshly turned. Too late for a decent rain to really make life easy, but things are there to be found and I'm happy to put in the leg work.

I missed the Big and Ugly one earlier. I like that one the best.

It's not anybody's best work but still a cool find. It's got a strong stem and an interesting platform on the top edge that could be used for downward pressure. Lot of cortex showing. Business edge is surprisingly sharp, considering it's such a rough piece.

Trust your artist's eye to see a kangaroo. Or have you been drinking?

            Can't see it myself.

I'm glad you are enjoying the artifacts though.

It could be a deer up on two legs, enlarge your pic to kinda fit the profile

Hal, you see visions in the glass. That would have made you an important doctor in California 2000 years ago.
