  • Thanks Red

Twice in the past couple of months, Red told me to get out there and find something. So I figured I would try. I came up with 2 end scrapers, a unifaced scraper, a broken Pelican Lake point, and a base out of some nice jasper. Nothing too exciting, but was nice to get back into my favorite spot.

You guys are dry? We are extremely wet. I would send it if I could. The top little end scraper is KRF. It just didn’t show up well. I will include another photo.

I guess I get lucky sometimes Glen. I can spot those end scrapers upside down as easy as right side up. I find lots of them, so I spot them.

Great finds Gary I really like the scrapers love the flaking and material. Going to read up on Pelican Lake points today. Pelicans SD seems odd but I am amazed how many Sea Gulls I see out there. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Marshall. Pelican lake is supposedly the only corner- notched point found in NE SD. When we used to plow fields as kids, there would be hundreds of gulls that flew behind the plow picking off the worms. They would fly close to the cab, and you could almost reach out and grab one. They still follow the farm equipment.
